Just beautiful! Are those our wonderful California Poppies?
They are, but to be honest, from last year. I wanted to go poppy shooting today, and it is a pitiful season due to a dry winter.
California poppies are nice. In California. It is a nice splash of color. After planting some here I learned they could become invasive. I let them go a bit for the summer to see what they’d do, but saw how they spread in and around all the other plants in that patch. Yank! before they went to seed. But then maybe the seed wouldn’t have handled the cold?? Oh, we didn’t get much cold this winter.
Here in the desert you get the color where you can!
But it’s been a bad poppy year–too dry a winter.
to me, the merging of man (or woman) and horse is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Your photo really depicts this, and the colors of the flowers and sagebrush add greatly to the scene. I love it.
Thanks. This was last year’s since the poppies are a bit anemic this year.
That’s a beautiful shot!
Thanks so much!
Beautiful photo.
Thanks!
