I have had Boston ferns the whole time we’ve been married. Well, not quite. The first plant I got was a Creeping Charlie. It was given at our wedding, and I promptly killed it. I was determined to have green things, though, so ferns came next, and I learned how to care for them. They have adorned our house ever since.
Maybe because it’s May and it’s 100 degrees today, for this challenge I took a picture of a fern. It helps me believe I do not live in the desert.
And taking pictures of things helps me put off the task I really need to do–start organizing my command module–office to some.

Love the fern
Organizing the office is something I’ve been putting off – - I keep moving it to the bottom of the list
My books and lesson plans and everything else just keeps stacking up. It’s a conspiracy!
Cindy, that is a command module with character and a very happy looking fern! Dor
The command module’s mess extends on either side, as well–my computer mess desk (with a view to my birdies) and my covered antique wash stand, to say nothing of the packed bookshelves. Summer project!
I almost edited your comment, but I decided rather to give you a hard time. On the other hand, I’ll answer to Cindy if it pays well.
I haven’t seen the fern yet. It’s still loading. Must be a big file. Wow! Great job of cleaning/organizing. Want to come tackle my desk?
Okay, it finally loaded and it was worth the wait. Lovely. I always have one also, though I took mine to work where the lighting is perfect and I remember to water it enough. Also no cats to over prune it. It was all a win, win, win for my fern.;)
It has been a challenge keeping ferns alive in the desert, but they refresh me to see all the green.
BTW. I LOVE your header photo. It is absolutely stunning.
I love the photos I took at that lake up in the mts. The day was perfect last fall with wondeful reflections.
Each hour, just take one thing on your desk and take action on it — pay it, read it, file it, throw it away………… just do it!
It would be good advice if elves didn’t add to the mess in the night. Last week of school = chaos; first week of non-school = organization.
Oh those dastardly elves. Ship them off to Santa. I hear some of his elves retired………..
I promptly killed ferns! lol Not enough humidity. My grandmother had Boston ferns for as long as I can remember. Thanks for the reminder that I also have a desk to find.
That was only one part of the mess, and I hope to find blank surfaces soon. Finishing giving finals this week. Yay!
