A drive to the mountains, even though it is so close, is a refreshing getaway. Now if I only had a boat! Oh, well, I have a camera.

We lived part time in Big Bear City, CA. with husband building a road. I remember a young family who insisted on taking me to Lake Arrowhead to watch the rain on the lake. Strange but true. I have fond memories of a mountain paradise. We got out with the first snow.
It is a very pretty place, but I’m not sure I would go boating there. There were so many boats and skiers and sailors on the lake, it was like an LA Freeway. Powerboats would zip by so close to sailboats, it seemed very unsafe to me. But it was blue!
