What do you think was causing the beautiful colors in the cloud? Wonderful pics!
It is from refraction–similar to a rainbow. So I assume it was the moisture and sun combo causing all the color that day. It lasted off and on for a couple of hours. If I remember correctly, it had been raining earlier.
