The Birds and the Bees — Sans the Bees
Spring is in the air.
Next Time
Next time, I will rest walk. I will not flit from flower to flower like a butterfly, capturing this and that in my digital memory. As fun as that is, next time, I will think walk. I will not adrenalin-rush the … Continue reading

In the Pink at Descanso Gardens
Just park me right here–no work, no food (well, maybe), a camera, a book, and a few hours to spend. Sigh.

Spring Preening!
The mourning doves have been a bit weird today–fighting, bullying, flitting about. Then they sat on the fence gently poking in and around their heads, over and over again. It’s either love or spring “preening”!
Freshly Dressed–Lilacs
Buds, asleep since summer, stretch and groan, throwing off the gloom of winter’s sleep, sloughing off constricting scales, peeking through, breaking through, pressed by warming breezes. With each new sun, the growing and pushing opens in luscious bloom, broadcasting bouquet to … Continue reading

Bits of Spring
. . . whispers of life stirring, breaking out, and bits of spring, sneaking, tentative forays, but I’m still hoping for one last snow . . .
