Studies in Shadow . . .

Jackson Lake 10-’11

We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.

I Chron. 29:15 (NL)

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

I Cor. 13:12 (NL)

I quite agree that we are here for a passing moment. The atoms that make us up were here for millions of years before us and will be here for millions of years after our breath has passed. We are the products of universal recycling.

I love your pictures and admire your faith.

I enjoy your posts. Beautiful photography. Eloquent poetry and apt choices of Scripture.
Jackson Lake: is it the small lake near Wrightwood? (I like to know where stuff is) It is a very nice image.

I would love to hear from you!
