Christmas Acrostic

Come to crush the serpent’s head,

Heaven’s Son, Creation wielder,

Roiled in the raw filth of our mutiny and brokenness,

Intervention looked like a baby.

Sinew, muscle, blood, and bone,

Tears and hunger, heat and cold,

Mender of hearts, mender of bodies,

Authority looked like a baby.

Savior and inconspicuous Bridegroom, come to crush and be crushed.

  1. This is beautiful, both the picture and acrostic.
The strangest thing, someone once told me skies are boring out west compared to here. Your pictures do not look boring to me.

    • We may have day after day of blue skies, but when we do get a storm, we get some really interesting cloud formations. The storms have to lift to get over the mountain, and then they are rocked by wind sheer on the valley floor. So in “weather” I am out and about with my camera. This pic I took in September when we had the kind of conditions that breed tornadoes!

Wow, Lilly – love this one so much! There is so much theology embedded in these words. Love authority looked like a baby…
