These two photographs definitely speak louder than words….. opinions swinging this way and that with the masses. This is so funny and so appropriate for the times. You are good!

  2. Run away… run away!!
Aren’t the Coot’s feet the neatest? And a few remind me of London. Still miss the guy.
I am dealing with the stress of slow uploads to Shutterfly right now. I could use the diversion of a political opinion poll. I enjoy the dead silence that comes when I tell them I do not vote, if I get a human.

  3. This is what happens when you never question the direction of your leaders. :). Great photos!

Or are these the politicans…quack, quack….lol

  5. LOL ! Great way of expressing this.

Just found your blog (when it was featured on fron page of WordPress) and I love your photos and thoughts! Thank you so much for your insights and honest opinions!

I’ve enjoyed your postings, especially this picture. “Worth a thousand words…”
I, too, found your blog through ‘Fresh Pressed’. Do you give poetry pointers anywhere? I’m still learning.
Wondering what province you live in? We’ve lived in 5 provinces from AB-QC, so have seen a lot of it. 🙂

    • Thanks so much. I took a class recently and the prof gave me such a hard time on my poetry. I think he liked some of it, but he was such a poor teacher. If it did not match his style and those of his peers, you weren’t in the groove. He even mocked a poem I wrote processing my dad’s death by saying, “Everybody dies.” With my students, I tell them to try to find a fresh way to say something. Look at something and don’t just use the first tired word or expression that comes to mind. If it sounds like a song, it probably is. Let your heart sing, then work on compressing the message and pruning the lines.

I was raised in ON, but am now in the States. Still have my green . . . well, peach, card. 🙂

Well, I have wondered just who gets to say what’s “correct” poetry. I’ve read some I couldn’t make any sense of! Good thought: let the song play out & then compress…
(I wrote one about my Dad’s death, too, compared to/connected with my own episode with cancer that I recovered from. Nobody should make light of someone else’s pain.)

  8. Beautiful pictures :).

Speaks volumes; 2 pictures are worth at least 2,000 words! Duckies are so cute, aren’t they?

  10. Ha! First one way, then the next. So true — and what a great way to illustrate it. 🙂

  11. randallslack says:

    The’re all looking for quackers… 🙂

  12. Where were you? The second photo has a Crested duck and an aged cayguga duck as well as other domestic ducks. Were you at a duck fanciers place?

I would love to hear from you!
