A great poem . . .
Only One had the power to give us words.
Only One has the power to take them back.
Our words are who we are, what we believe, and our stamp on history.
They are everywhere, so much that it would overwhelm us if we cared to notice.
They are our greatest weapons and the most toxic poison.
They can save us or wound our souls.
They fool us into thinking they are simply a shallow arrangement of letters.
But they have never lost their inheritance of power.
No man can rein them in.
I cannot even tame my own tongue . . .
So I give it back to the only One who can.
