Impressions of Rain–> Rain-oir!

Since I am still quite sore and more or less housebound with my injuries, I am not able to run about in the wonderful rain we are having today to take pictures.   So these are just from inside the living room and by the front door with as little gyrations as possible in the snapping.

Notice the lovely cracks in the window, which adds to the Renoir-ish design.  We have the boom-boom of the Space Shuttle to thank for most of them.  Should have sued NASA.

  1. I love the way you share your vision of the world. Beautiful pictures full of inspirations. 🙂

  2. I know what it’s like to be physically hindered from being able to get out and shoot. You did a great job in keeping yourself and us entertained.

There is nothing like a good rain. It may not brighten the day, but it sure does brighten the senses. I always like your posts.

  4. Joe Pineda says:

I particularly loved the fourth picture. It’s one of those times you see the beauty in nature heightened by a camera, like it’s going to last forever.

  5. Judy says:

wonderful photos….love the the rain-oir effect! Hope you feel better soon. This is a long recuperation isn’t it?

  6. I broke my arm a few years back and I couldn’t wait to get back to my old self. I hated the cast that inhibited me so much. Tasks that were so easy became so difficult. Showering and soaking in the tub were not enjoyable as before the fall. Get well soon! You are finding the beauty in little things now.

A cracking set of pictures, literally and metaphorically.

    • It made for an interesting shot, but one of these days we need to get it fixed. Here in the desert double panes are required, so we still have the outer pane solid, but still . . .

I love the pink blossoms through the window!

  9. Cheryl says:

Oh Oh … I missed something somewhere .. injuries?! Great shots by the way.

some people would bemoan the fact that they are stuck inside, but you used the opportunity to take some beautiful photos.. they are wonderful! and make a great header. 🙂

With a spring so prolific in the rain department, so many of my photo jaunts are from in the car to and from work. I have grown to love some of them, distortions, bokeh lights, rain drops each reflecting the same vision. It has been fun, though it is getting repetitious and I’m ready for some warm and sunny days.

One week down and 5 to go. Take care. 🙂

  12. Beautiful rain. We received an inch yesterday which made us rejoice after some dry weather.

I would love to hear from you!
