I have been meaning to try juicing for some time now, but have never quite got around to it. Love eating my veggies raw but know that I couldn’t eat enough of them to supply my body’s requirements. Need to find a cheap, second hand juicer. Thrift/charity shops and Ebay calls.
The more of this sort of food we eat, the less sugar we will eat, and the healthier we will be. Well, that’s how the theory goes and I am all up for giving it a try. Maybe I need to write about it on a blog!!!! Now, there’s a novel idea. Lol.

That Swiss chard in your header looks like it could be some awful creature… or the map of some very polluted river… And then juiced! Was it truly ‘created’ that red, or did you use some kind of filter on your lens?
As to being “healthy and broken”, that just goes to prove that eating vegetables doesn’t help a person to live a more painless life. Pass the chocolate cheesecake, please. 🙂 (I should get a job as a corporate statistician.)
It actually does all look nutritious; I just had a glass of “Fruit + Veggies” myself.

    • It came in my organic box this week, and yes it is (was) that red. There were a variety of colors. I couldn’t believe how vibrant they all were; that’s when I decided to take a picture! The close up does look rather monster-ish. 🙂 Eating and juicing lots of vegetables, regrettably, does not prevent stupid!

Yes, I’ve had my colors for dinner, some for breakfast and more for lunch. There are never too many vegetables for me. I love them just fresh, steamed, sauteed, or roasted so well that I’ve never tried them juiced. We grew rainbow chard a few years back, it is just stunning in a garden. 😀

    • Such vibrant colors! Is that what it’s called? Rainbow chard? Because there were yellow, red, pink, and white in the box.

      • Shez says:

Yes, ma’m. Bought a package of seeds at the garden store. You’ll recognize them from the photo. We sowed a couple of long rows and not only were there amazing variations among the plants in the color of the stalks, but in the leaves as well from a dark rich green to a much lighter more yellow green. Each plant has it’s own color, but the various varieties were mixed in the seed packet.

Fabulous colours! I shall try juicing my greens (have to admit it doesn’t sound very tempting!)
