Spam–Tastes Just Like Chicken

Funny! I just found this comment in my SPAM.

“An interesting discussion is worth comment. I believe that you should publish more about this subject, it may not be a taboo matter but typically folks don’t speak about these topics. To the next! Many thanks!!”

If it was talking about one of my pieces, particularly the ones that make you think, I might feel complimented, even moved.  But it was in my “About” section.  🙂  So I can only assume this person wants me to talk about ME all the time.  Ya know, I’m kind of feeling the inspiration starting to flow.  I could rename my blog to ME–A Canadian Idol.  I think I’ll start off with a poem “An Ode to ME,” followed by a photo by ME (oh, wait, I already do that), followed by 10 reasons why you should like ME more than Lady Gaga.  Wow, I bet WP would  freshly press that . . .  like, every day!

  1. Those spams are so funny. If I get an outloud laugh, I will copy/paste it into a comment form and post it, minus any links, of course. One of my favorites mentions something about “watching out for brussels”. Huh? But that’s what makes it hysterical.

LOL! Today is a day full of SPAM. I found a recipe, sitting at the top of my incoming mail – like in an advertising bar, (I don’t know how they do this) for “SPAM Vegetarian Strudel”. Yep. Doesn’t get better than that!

I just went through two day’s worth (46 comments) on my website. Some of them are complimentary; a lot want to sell me some exotic drugs. I, too, find interesting comments on odd pages, like “This is the information I’ve been looking for. It has helped me so much.” on the “Book Review” page.
But don’t worry Lilly, I’ll certainly like you more than Lady Gaga. 🙂 (With each succeeding Diva getting further “off the wall,” someday the whole house is going to collapse on someone.)

  4. Fun and interesting at the same time. Glad you yanked ME from you spam box 😉

  5. ah, i can imagine you having a writer’s block after five tries. you’ll screw your way there, am afraid… i doubt if you could finish the write up about you being the better choice for Canadian Idol. you see, there are limits… ^_^ hello, ms. lily! 😉

As well as e-mail spam, I seem to have acquired a lot of spam followers to my blog and there doesn’t seem to be any way of getting rid of them which is tedious. As I result I have many more followers than I have readers which makes my head hurt.

  7. I just checked my spam comments. Only one… 😛 But it gave detailed instructions about how to install some kind of sound card.

Everything tastes just like chicken except McDonald’s chicken nuggets.

  9. Whoa!!! I got a spam that was 87 lines long!!! Yeah, I counted them all. Think it’s a world record?

LOL! I confess to – fearfully- checking out some of those links. Still haven’t figured out what they gain!

Most of the time they don’t even make sense. Funny how they come from foreign countries and while I will give them a big thumbs up for trying a second or third language, a few things are missing in the translation. LOL 😀
