Lone trees, lone fence . . .

Two lone trees,

straggly sentinels

to guard a whole ocean, a world of wet life and dreams.

One lone fence,

one scrappy wave of a fence,

slats barely standing in shifting sand, weathered by salt, gale, and sifting breezes–

your purpose seems a bit spurious,

so perhaps you stand just for me.

I love these photos. The dramatic struggle of survival at the edge of the sea. Will the tree succumb to the sand dune, wind, salt? Seems to have survived so far and you have captured it well. Thanks.

  2. Some pose the tree did for you, huh?! Lovely scenery, wonderful photos… 🙂
