Another Set of Hummingbird shots for Graduation Day

Rehearsal was Thursday, decorating and tripping on the stairs was Friday (Pass the Motrin.), and graduation ceremonies for our home ed department was today.  So this blog is my graduation day blog–more hummingbirds.  Sunday is collapse day.  😛

I rather like these through-a-glass-darkly kind of shots,

and if I was not so tired from decorating and grad festivities,

I may have written a poem that is deep,

philosophical,

life-changing . . . or at least capable of eliciting a minor assent.

The beauty of the creature is distorted.

It’s how he sees me, at least.  But I have seen him as he really is, so his form and purpose is not really mystery.

It is good to be known, and it will be good when the blinders come off and I see clearly–knowing as I am known.

And see, I wrote a poem anyway.

Robbie Burns would be so proud . . . or not.

I rather like this poem! I don’t know exactly why. I just like it, especially the part about the hummer’s distorted beauty and “how he sees me at least.” You surely would make Robbie Burns proud.

  2. Aye, I am thankin’ ye. 🙂

  3. Christine says:

Yes, Bobbie Burns would be delighted with your “Ode to a Hummingbird”
Now don’t forget to collapse tomorrow. 🙂

  4. Shez says:

The hummers have a dreamy, ethereal quality that makes me wonder, “Did I really see it?”

I would love to hear from you!
