  1. Well, I know you only get a certain amount of space for photos, but I’ve been blogging for 3 years and I use lots of photos, and I still have 30% space left. Maybe it’s just a random error, but maybe you used all your photo space. You can buy more space with WordPress for a small (I think $20) one-time fee.

  2. Time to start deleting and shrinking your photos down. Or go through the hassle of setting up an off-site account at a free photo site and making sure you do not exceed your limit there. Picasa through Google has unlimited free space as long as you keep your photos 800 pixels wide or smaller. You may notice I rarely go above that.

Oops, just saw the above comment…. When you are on the media page, you can purchase more space and there are different amounts up to 200GB. This is in the small print at the top.

On your Dashboard go to the Media tab on the left-hand side.

Either that or start a new blog? Would that work? I was wondering what to do when/if I ever got that message.

    • I think because the files with my new camera are so huge, they have used up a lot of space quickly. I have gone back and made some files with the new smaller on the blog, but I also bought 10 GB for 20 dollars. Now I know, I will post smaller files.

    • The dreaming post and the sunset one have reduced sizes. They loaded fast, and they seem like they are not that much smaller.

  4. Because a computer screen is only so big, I don’t post pictures bigger than most standard sized screens. It does seem the newer the cameras the larger the pictures. When my son tried a new camera for a couple days, the images were 6MB. My camera goes up to 4MB an image, but most often less than that.
When people post large pictures, their sites load really slow for me with our rural DSL. I always appreciate smaller images. 😀

  5. Hey, I just saw something new on my Dashboard. It says how much storage space I have and how much I’ve used. I’m at a whopping 1%. I store most photos at Picasa, since I link to them from the bird and gardening forums I belong to.

I would love to hear from you!
