Some More Scenes from Our Daycation: Silverwood Lake

On our way up the mountain, we cruised around Silverwood Lake, which is a popular man-made lake.  Disregard the green scum; you can be sure that doesn’t make it into the tourist brochures.

Just looking at your photos gives me the feel of a brief vacation while I’m at work. So thanks for the vacation break! It goes well with my coffee. 🙂

love it! this post and the one of Mormon Rocks: a trip down Memory Lane for me–thanks. Check out the Mojave River where it flows into Silverwood Lake, walk upriver a bit, set down your chairs in the middle of the river (shallow, clean and refreshing) and bring out a good book . . . it is a serene beautiful “secret” place, or at least it was 20 years ago.

  5. Very refreshing… except the green scum. We waded through the dry “waters” of our pasture today. Of course when we actually get someone to visit our “birding retreat” the desired birds were not within sight or hearing range. 😦

    Oh how enticing!

I would love to hear from you!
