Some More Daycation: Crestline

Crestline is the rim of the world!  Well, maybe just San Bernardino County.  But you sure can see a lonnnnng way–at least when it’s not hazy and impeded with marine layer. 🙂

I remember this view well. When I taught down in 6th grade, we used Thousand Pines in Crestline for our yearly sixth-grade camp. Every year we teachers would eat lunch in town at the Hungry Bear when our students took their all-day hike to Lake Gregory. We also had to pick up some frozen chocolate bananas for added energy and inspiration before we walked back up the hill to the camp. Good memories. Fun place. The mountains are always refreshing, even when inundated by several hundred sixth-graders.
