Another Free Spirit~~

I just saw that a young lady I followed in blogland just passed away.  She is in my blogroll under spiritdances.  This is my 500th post, and rather than any shallow milestone of mine, I honor her with it.  Overcoming incredible disability with Rett Syndrome, she made poetry, music, and touched her world in ways that many able-bodied people don’t even try to do.  Rest, Karly, in the arms of Jesus.  Your body limits you no longer.

That is a lovely thing to do 🙂

    • Her story is amazing. They thought she was retarded along with all her other maladies, She couldn’t speak, but when she got access to a keyboard, they found out how smart and gifted she was in an uncooperative body.

That poor woman. Wouldn’t it be horrible to be trapped inside your body and have an active mind? It’s the stuff of horror stories isn’t it? Thank you so much for sharing this story. It makes you appreciate how lucky you are doesn’t it? 🙂

Oh, the delight of rising above this world and finding your mansion all prepared up yonder!

Can you give a link to her blog, please?

This one brought tears… a wonderful tribute.

    • I church in MN I follow highlighted her story one day a couple of years ago, and I started following her and commenting. What a brave and inspiring gal! She even wrote and recorded music one note at a time.

I had my English students read her blog and respond to her as an assignment–helps them to realize how fortunate they are and how much they take their writing and creating for granted, as do I. It is sad she is gone.

Playing catch up, I read her last letter first, then this. Such a lovely letter. A brave young lady.
Thank you for spreading her words.
