All of these little orchid faces look alive. Of course, they are rather alien looking. But I declare, I also see Muppet inspiration in some of their little mugs! Yuuuup, yupyup yupyupyup, yup! Remember that one? 🙂
The Santa Barbara Orchid Estate is located on 1250 Orchid Drive in Santa Barbara. How cute is that–Orchid Drive! They have over a 1000 species and ship hither and yon besides. But the experience of being in the greenhouses, walking, smelling, snapping photos is fun, fun, fun. Here are some more samples.

These are the most fabulous looking orchids Lilly! Are they really so beautiful or it just your eagle eye?
No, they are beautiful. You almost get lost in the maze of greenhouse paths, beauty upon beauty. There are so many kinds and colors; it is amazing. I was happy enough taking pictures, but since my birthday is coming this month, hubby decided to buy me one. I will post it soon–a couple of more buds are in process of blooming.
