Still Humming Along

I must tell you my nose is a bit out of joint.

                               Nose?  Do you mean beak?

Don’t get all anatomical on me here.  I’m serious!

                              Oh, sorry.  Go on.

Well, it just seems like you have not been paying as much attention to us lately.  With all those stupid storm clouds and sunsets, you have completely neglected your responsibility to our egos and our adoring fans.  I mean, after all, sunsets don’t give you love.

Hmm, I never thought of it like that.  I truly am sorry.

I never meant to offend your extremely erratic beating heart.  I mean

after all, I still feed you.

Oh, are you the one who fills the fake flower thingy?  I never noticed.

Thanks a lot!  I think we need to re-examine our relationship here.

You first.  I’ll be back when it’s convenient.  Big hug!!!

                       Love you, too!

  1. Beautiful photos. I think our hummingbirds will be heading south real soon. We’ve had a couple days of frost in the mornings lately.

Love it. And, you’ve conjured up guilt in me — as I have not put seed in my feeders for about two weeks. The cats have nothing to watch! Good grief! I need to get a load off, and go get a load of bird seed!! (I stopped for awhile, due to the extraordinary amount of bird poop that was all over my fake pond — started worrying about west Nile virus, etc. — I definitely need a life!)

Or, perhaps you might mean the “mandibile”???? What gorgeous photos of a hummingbird! Love to you, dear soul.

What excellent shots. First, wide pictures of the sky and now narrow pictures of the birds. You are giving us the whole caboodle.

Loved the photographs. Adored the dialogue. My morning smile. Thank you. Virginia

  10. Very nice photos of the hummies. : D I did get a chuckle out of your conversation.

This time of year is bad for migrating hummies. I’ve heard people fear to tend to the feeders because of these tiny dive bombers. I haven’t had one hit me yet, so far. . We’ve been getting into the mid-40’s at night, but the hummingbirds are still around.

I would love to hear from you!
