I like the magpie shot a lot.

    • I had never seen one before, but always heard the word. We were looking at elk when these quirky birds came hopping and flying, and of course, I was just as interested in them!

Up in our neck of the woods (which is mostly prairies but you know what I mean) we call magpies ‘rats with wings’. Very pretty birds, but they are very aggressive and seem to drive the song birds away.

        • Oooh, rats doesn’t sound too complimentary. I guess if they scare the songbirds away that could be reason enough to give them a harsh moniker. This was my first time to see any, and I was impressed by their beauty–flaunting the white feathers on the wing.

    The views were nice too.

I would love to hear from you!
