My xeriscape plantings have taken a hit with the summer heat. It seems even some drought resistant plants can’t take the desert! My jade has given up the ghost, but my aloe is thriving. Another thriving plant is this flutterby, which was probably named by some dyslexic agrarian.
And just because it made for an interesting title, here is a painted lady butterfly imbibing the blooming sage–the same sage that is making me sneeze.
Nice to see some butterflies. I have one in keeping and hope to post about it soon. Flutterby? I never heard of that. Interesting.
That was the name on the flower tag when I bought it. I thought it was fun.
I’ve never heard of flutterby either. But it made for a nice tagline. 😉
🙂
What are a few sneezes when you can get shots like this?
Right . . . kerchoo!
