Color and Quack

Dabbed in lavenders, greens, and burgundy,

color and texture so carefully crafted,

grace in and under and over the water,

beauty in form and function,

but yet,

why such a raucous . . . well, quack!

I love Mallards, I always think they sound as if they are laughing when they quack!

They are such interesting characters – and too beautiful to make such weird noises. It’s like the deer around here who look so graceful but then they literally make a sound like an oink. 🙂
