My Doxology

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,

stream out, over, and above need, and I so often miss it.

Praise Him all creatures here below,

selfish me and all those living in the abundance of what He has given.

Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts,

all you who witness the glory, bask in the holy, and at His bidding guard my steps.

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

Three-in-One mystery, Creator, Redeemer, Provider, Comforter, Helper as I walk through this broken life that so often throws rocks.

Let it be . . . be what?  A river of gratitude that looks past my tainted view of what is and could be to celestial vision that always finds something to be thankful for. I do not walk alone and ought to praise that wonder!  Let it always be and be and be.

Each to his/ her own. I admire your faith. I praise my parents who begat me, my family and friends who support me and my children who may pass the DNA down the line and I marvel at the universe which was here millions of years before us and will be here millions of years after our sun has gone out and taken all life on earth with it. In the meantime I pray that someone will start to take climate change seriously and that no one will set off a nuclear weapon.
