Thought for the Day

I think it is best to stay in the house till January.  Shoppers drive crazily at this time of year.  It was scary out there today even before the van backed up into me!

The consolation was, he was insured and had very nice manners.  My adrenaline is almost back to normal, and I have discovered another trigger to my headaches!

Oh, I’m so sorry that happened, but glad you are o.k. (not counting the headaches). Nice manners are a plus too! Stay well.

Annoying… I think we WOULD be all better off not being out and about this time of year – I hate the traffic jumbles in the parking lots. Stay well – and headache free!

    Hope the migraine has evapourated!

    • Yes. Stress certainly is a factor. What was even crazier was that as the guy and I are exchanging info, an elderly lady drives to where my car is parked in the aisle, but by the curb, and she tries to drive around my car going to the right up over the curb. I guess she didn’t understand where the aisle was! Then the guy’s wife tries to help her back up off the curb (I thought she was going to hit my car.) and help her go around me to the left. She didn’t back up far enough and almost hit my car again! Just take me hommmmmmme!!!!

crazy time is here. good that the person that hit you was insured. time to look for quiet places to shop, if there are any quiet places near you. 🙂

Crud! I was just talking to my daughter about this ridiculous Black Friday, Purple Thursday…. whatever! It’s become just awful…. So glad there were no injuries and the guy was “decent” and insured. I’m with you. Hibernation sounds good.

    • I hate the way folks compete to save that few bucks. All decency flies out the window. Read my coimment above about the other lady who almost hit me at the scene. Argh. Elderly drivers who are on the edge of giving up their licenses anyway should not be out on crazy days!

The house is a haven during the holidays … hope you feel better.

It seems like a good plan to me. I hope your stress levels settle down as soon as possible and are not disturbed again for the foreseeable future.

    • It is a good reminder how quickly one decision can cause a ripple of consequences. My son is finally getting his car back from the damage resulting from someone hitting him while driving after dusk without lights. Always, we must expect the unexpected, but this one don’t think it would have been possible to avoid.

I literally just completed nearly all my shopping on line! I’m telling you, it’s the way to go. No hassles and I found lots of free shipping. The only downer is that I start to feel sorry for all the UPS guys that have to deliver this stuff. On the other hand, they’re employed, so I guess that’s a good thing!

I would love to hear from you!
