I am a shadow of the real me,

wraithlike, distorted, with only a hint of what is.

Trapped in façades and blinded by sun,

bound in line, form, and color,

I sense the reality, yet am unable to break free.

I am a shadow of my real will,

waiting for the unveiling of the Son.
