  2. Sparrow?! Nope… Pine Siskin. Notice the yellow highlights and the daintier bill. Cool bird, but I’ve heard they can be bossy. Not so around here, they get along with the other finches. πŸ˜€

    • I was hoping you would respond. πŸ™‚ I couldn’t find one that just looked like it on the web or my book, but the back looked kind of sparrowish! The head not. I am glad to know its name. We were in the mountains.

  3. Oh those birds should be hardy enough to withstand your winters. The Chickadees are year-round in your area and the Siskins winter there. Our Siskins are not yet consistent, but we see them a couple times a week. Are you still seeing Hummingbirds?
