A Story of Hummingbirds–the Preamble

537 - Copy

I have been following a nest site from eggs to flight.  This week the last one left, and I was very sad.  It has been fun haunting my good neighbor Tony’s entryway, documenting their progress.

Since I woke with a weird migraine today, I thought I’d share one picture.  The whole story is yet to come!

It is sad. Empty nests do that to us.

What a sweet and loving picture this is. Everything about her body language says love and care (even though she is regurgitating food into his mouth, but, then, that is how they do it).

This one picture is worth a thousand words…..

    Hungry, isn’t he?

  6. What a blessing! It is neat to see how bright the inside of a hummingbird’s mouth is.

How’s your head? Kevin had a strange headache yesterday that was on top of his head.

    • I loved watching the birdies so closely. It was a great positon for the nest to be captured by a hummer lover like me!

It was a rough day yesterday, but feeling pretty good today. What was weird was the dizziness. I woke up having lost my equilibrium! Be sure to look at the video I just posted of the fire in our valley. So sad. Lots of homes lost already!

  7. I do hate migraines. I feel for you.

Right outside my kitchen window while I wash dishes I get to watch Momma Cardinal on her eggs cant’s wait for the action though sadly photos through screens and glass will not be clear but I will still have fun. The knob for turning outside water is below her and she is OK with me and dog going out front so there still maybe a chance for nice shots such as yours

I would love to hear from you!
