Weekly Photo Challenge: Companionable #3

mom and dad 1 - Copy

They were companions for over 50 years.  He was a tough act to follow for all the sons-in-law because of how he cherished my mom.  Miss you, Dad. (This photo was actually taken by my baby sister.  We were all snapping, but this one was special.)

I need a “love” button for this touching photograph and post!

  3. pattisj says:

This is a great shot, it captures more than two people, but also the decades of love and commitment. That’s a good daddy that sets the example of a true gentleman for his daughters.

Their happiness is so obvious in this photo!

  5. Tina Schell says:

This photo really nails the “theme”. I love it.
I work in a store, and one of my favorite sights–and the most touching, loving ones–is a very elderly couple, hand in hand, doing their shopping together. Speaking to each other with love and kindness. Supporting each other physically and emotionally as they move through their errands with whatever limitations they each might have. To know that somebody has spent a lifetime together and are so loving and attentive to each other still, it is the most beautiful thing.

  7. Truly inspiring! How blessed are the children! 🙂

I would love to hear from you!
