Dentally Ill Thought for the Day

Had my wisdom tooth out today, as well as another small filling.  Yes, I am feeling primo yucky and undoubtedly less wise!  Need meds!

When he did my little filling, he decided to touch up the tooth next to it with a filling as well, only for free.

I told him 3 for the price of one at a dentist’s office is probably not a great sales gimmick, especially if one leaves a painful hole in the customer’s head!!

Sympathy will be accepted.  No tea, though.  No hot things yet.

  1. My sympathies, Lilly. It’s really a shame you have to lose your wisdom so soon. How will you ever deal with those pupils next fall? 🙂

Wisdom is a funny thing. It comes and goes. The nice part is your lovely dentist who does the “Buy One, Get One Free” thing. 🙂

Hope you feel better soon. Sorry you feel yucky.

  4. OUch, I hate dental things! I have a major broken tooth I need fixed; its the last in the long line of broken teeth to be fixed. (I grind or clinch a lot). It was the worst one (one that fell apart because a less reputable dentist did some horrible work years ago), but every time I went in to get it fixed, another tooth would break and would cause lots of pain, so it got put off. I don’t know why I don’t just get it over with and finished! Oh yeah, because I now have NO insurance and dentists are expensive! 😛
I hope you are back to your wise (cracking) self in no time.

    • Yesterday, I didn’t do too badly, though my tongue was really sore. I’m pretty sure he hit it with the buzz saw that he was using to saw my tooth in half. Sigh. But then I woke up at 4 with my head blazing. I couldn’t even hardly open my eyes to count out pills. But at least it’s done. Just have to continue the healing. It was funny when the nurse said to avoid eating ahrd foods with sharp edges, like chips. That was assuming I would be able to do anything other than liquid mush for a few days!

It is good to find humor in something such as this but ouch I hated to feel all that pain!

    Hope you’re feeling all better.

I would love to hear from you!
