Butterfly on My Flutterby!

027 - Copy

My purple Flutterby bush is a pretty drought-resistant plant that brightens up my xeriscape yard.  It was probably named by a dyslexic gardener or a gardener with a sense of humor.

At any rate, while I was waiting patiently for my birds to come eat and pose, camera in hand, a lovely painted lady butterfly came to call–hence, butterfly on my flutterby.  My smile for the day. 🙂

Lovely! I saw a Monarch today, between rain showers. It appeared to stop at the oak tree for a sip of water from a leaf.
