And God Weeps

And God weeps.

It is brother disowning brother.

It is another Inquisition and another stone to throw–

another believer staked to the plumb-line of your position.

And you have found another Anabaptist to bludgeon,

another herbalist to burn in Salem,

another sister to throw to the flames of righteous rhetoric,

and the world mocks as Satan laughs.

And God weeps.

Where did this come from? (Sounds like my blog).

Beautiful insightful poem. I just read another blog (1catholicsalmon) immediately before yours, and it touched briefly on the same topic.
You nailed it–this is so true.

  3. “We need not fear the enemy if we are willing to kill one another. So sad.” Weeping with you and God.

I would love to hear from you!
