Wow, that is amazingly beautiful. I want to live there!

    • ?? What does that mean? I never drummed the first time.

      • Mike says:

The shining was partially filmed there (interior shots). Does that help?

        • I still don’t know what redrum means because I don’t think I saw that movie, but now that you mention it I remember movie posters about that on the lowest level in the house. The great thing about me and movies is that even if I did see it, I usually forget so much, watching it again is like watching it for the first time. But a scary Nicholson I may want to pass up.

        • Mike says:

It is a classic and since you are not going to see it, I will tell you that his young son who is clairvoyant writes redrum on a fogged mirror, and repeats it many times. It is murder reversed. TADA! Now you know something meaningless 😉

        • I needed something meaningless today, and that fit the bill. 🙂

  2. Ruth says:

I’m out of breath thinking about climbing it!

  3. pattisj says:

Wow, have to admire the workmanship in that!

  4. I’m assuming that is where the phrase “GRAND” staircase came from?! 🙂
Beautiful. I bet the rest of the house was amazing as well!

  5. Okay, how did you get snowflakes on your page?

  6. I’ve got an image from here on my website. 🙂

  7. Was just there. Stayed there in November when I got married in RMNP. Gorgeous hotel; I just posted some photos this morning of this very place.

I would love to hear from you!
