Thought for the Day: Chocolate Warning!

Why is it that all my health food convictions fly out the window in the presence of homemade chocolate fudge, Sees candy, and Christmas JoeJoes?

Somebody help me!

  1. I know what you mean. I made crock pot pecan clusters. I won’t use the CP again as it burned the chocolate, but they are yummy and not helping my expanding waistline!

  2. I know exactly what you mean. I’ve been in a sugar coma for about 2 weeks now.

    • Help! And at work folks put out candy and stuff they dare not take home, so they instead corrupt all the rest of us! And I have no free will in this case! I even ate some of the ugly green cereal things shaped like a wreath. Why does something so ugly still taste good?

Sorry, there is no help for it…… take it from one who knows……. 🙂

There is something about chocolate that prevents the brain from ever remembering that it HAD food health convictions.

Even me on WW plan make no excuse not to indulge do like me have you fill and move on 🙂

  6. Our body is the temple of God, you know. All year, not just those non-holiday times. 🙂 Eat just a little, if you must! You can do it! Then move away from the chocolate.

I needed to give you the motivational talk that I need to give myself. Starting exercise and eating better this time of year was not the best idea of mine, but neither was the visit to the cardiologist who told me to stop taking my herbal supplements. “You never know what they put in those things.” :/ He not once mentioned my weight though, but I know that could very well be a problem, so I am getting more serious about taking the weight off.

We spent the weekend out of town and I know I must have gained a little. I couldn’t do my normal walking up and down the stairs like at home and I just tried not thinking too much about how fattening the food was that we were served. There was no chocolate anywhere, so that was not a temptation. 🙂

I would love to hear from you!
