In the fray out of focus! Hard to track those little warriors.
A warrior humming birds?
Yes, they can’t get along. 🙂
I wrote a haiku about hummingbirds today, but I’m not sure it would fit with these two. I’ll post it tomorrow on Swallow in the Wind.
Two hummingbirds took turns at, and buzzed around, our feeder today, but the temp is only 10C/ 51F now and supposed to go down to 4 / 39 tonight. Poor hummers! Likely they’ll be heading south as soon as they warm up.
Why are you so cold already. It was 90 something here. 🙂
Just a quick dip — maybe to remind the birds it’s time to move on? But now it’s back to sunny and warm, like 23/26 C (73./79 F) today and tomorrow.
Wow! Great action sot. They can be vicious these little sugar-water eaters!
ADHD, I guess. 🙂
Why can’t they all just get along? Good example of fray.
What’s fun is standing in the middle of the fray!
I liked the images almost in silhouette.
Thanks. Fun stuff!
I just read recently that our Ruby-throateds are the feistiest of the hummingbirds. Even though yours are larger, the little ones make up for it in attitude. I keep thinking about putting up the feeder…
It does get pretty wild. And I will be standing in the middle with them zooming past my head.:-)
Well, hummies had to beat me. So I had to make a quick batch of nectar. We were out on the porch after setting it out and the little thing was frightened of us. It flew for cover into the tree and never came out. 😦
Oh, too bad. 😦
