I was sitting out by my fence, grounding and soaking up Vitamin D, when I heard this crunching above my head. Here was this monster eating my fence! He was as big as my palm!
Bwahahahaha! That is truly a monster our to get you! 🙂
It was creepy.
Run Lilly, run!
I did run! For my camera. 🙂
OH my word!!! I’m glad it stayed for a good shot…I wouldn’t do well seeing such a thing over my head.
It was creepy to look up and see his huge head above me.
Even I will get a shock
Great capture! 🙂
Fun as long as they don’t come any closer, not eat my roses!
Zombie grasshopper apocalypse.
Scary to think that they don’t travel alone either!
Wow! Tell me again, what camera and lens do you use?
Canon T2i. I had my zoom lens on so I could get close without scaring him off.
Great shot! I hope your fence will survive!
It has already been through a lot. 🙂 Who knew they would eat redwood. Or maybe he was just using it as a toothpick!
That was FUNNY!!! 🙂
I heard you. 🙂
Ha ha love it! Sorry about your fence 😉
The price you pay for the shot, I guess. 🙂
We need a hawk eating grasshopper shot now….or should that be a grasshopper eating hawk shot?
In this case, maybe the latter. I have never seen a critter this big–as big as the palm of my hand.
Once again you did well to be in the right place at the right time and with the right camera to hand.
He’s a big’un, all right!! 😛
Yup! Hold on to your kids. 🙂
On the photo it looks nice but I can understand you, I’m afraid of insects, too
Especially insects that can carry off your first born child.
I have never seen one as big as that. They used to eat our window screens, but we found out they were made from some corn byproduct. 😛
Huh, that’s interesting.
Cheeky fellow, what a nerve!”
