I didn’t photograph a step by step, but this is what went into my vegie pizza, which turned out very tasty, if I do say so. And hubby says so, too!
When I made my last batch of fresh ground ww bread, I put some of the dough in the freezer to save for a crust. I took it out to warm and start to rise, then spread out on the pizza pan with my fingers.
I topped the crust with hummus, garlic and onion jelly (Zip!), and crushed tomatoes.
Sprinkled herbs on top: basil, oregano, Costco’s organic no-salt seasoning, garlic powder, Himalayan salt, kelp, nutritional yeast, and smoked paprika.
Around the outside, I put julienne cut bell peppers; and then sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, and cubes of a vegie burger (This one is organic but has some egg white in it as a binder; otherwise, this would be a vegan pizza.). I added just a bit of vegan cheese because it has way too much fat! (I forgot the chopped onions, but everything goes better with onion!)
On top of it all, I added chopped savoy spinach and cooked at 375 F for 25 min. on the middle rack.
So good, and you don’t even miss all the heart stopping pepperoni, sausage, and gooey cheese! 🙂
This looks SO delish!!!
It was good, but I forgot the onions. Gotta have onions!
It’s pretty…great job!! Appeal makes all the difference! 🙂
Taste is pretty good, too. 🙂
Looks good.
It was yummy. But I missed the onions!
Makes my mouth water just looking at your photographs.
It was so yummy!
This looks so good. Tom and I are both diabetics. It’s the two of us and our tradition for well over 20 years now is that we have pizza on Thanksgiving and Christmas. You have a winner here and can’t wait to marry it up with our own special cranberry relish on the side. Yummmmmmm.
Cool!
