If I see Your testimony in water, creature, tree, and flower, how can I not reverence all that is and be thankful for provision,
There is a God-echo in all of creation—a divine hello
that testifies of the Great God who calls all into His righteous stream.
Would I kick against pure love
to gather together my own shallow trinkets,
when the emptiness of these idols fall in shards from my fingertips.
With open hands,
I am ready to receive this love that has been there all along,
calling in creation,
whispering in my conscience,
yelling through my pain: There is something more precious.
