Rock Tree

Tahoe 10-'10

Rock rooted,

granite gripped—

foothold firm against

wind, rain, and frost’s bite;

alone,

the crisp cold shaking your branch—

barely a shadow maker;

strong,

no companions to break the force,

barely a bristle raker against

wind, rain, and frost’s bite.

    ————-a long ago post with one of my favorite pictures with my older point and shoot. It was at beautiful Tahoe as the sun was setting.
